Were you able to successfully set up your RSS feed?

Yep! I was successful setting up a RSS feed. This was and interesting one to learn about - I knew of it but have never explored it as an option. I can see how this could be set up as a nice easy information gathering one-stop-spot!

What do you like about the Google product? What do you dislike? Would you recommend the product to friends and colleagues?

I love Google Maps, and Street View.

  • It's pretty user friendly with nice features that give you the option of finding out what is close by.
  • It's great for not only directions, but seeing what kind of landmarks are around an area.
  • It's also good for scoping out realistate if you're in the market and want to check out the neighbourhood.

I would definately recommend it.

Why do you think social networking sites are so popular? What are the main appeal factors?

It's an easy way to stay in touch with social networking websites like Face book. Instant communication to the masses with the possibility of more than one potential conversation awaiting to erupt seems to be appealing. Some other factors could be that you can log in for just a few minutes a day and catch a snippet of every one's life if they choose to share, there are also online photo albums for friends to view your adventures instantly. Face book messages sometimes seem like they are the new 'email' correspondence system, only shorter. Face book "invites" easily take the place of phone calls - when trying to organize events as they are less time consuming... Groups that connect you to like minded people...

I don't know - Face book is okay, but I really like real people and I really like snail mail and handwriting and sealing wax...

How easy or difficult was it to find articles that needed editing? Were the errors you found factual or grammar / spelling?

In the Wikipedia article that I looked at it was easy to spot some factual information to add on my favourite author's latest works. I was able to list a new addition to the books in the Velgarth series by Mercedes Lackey for 2010: "Finding the Way" (Dec 2010) which can be found on Amazon.ca (as we do not yet have it in our catalogue!) There will also be a sequel to "Foundation" (which is in our catalogue) called "Intrigues" (Oct 2010) which I am incredibly excited about!!
